Help end world hunger has two goals:

  • Provide education to everyone for free.
  • Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free

Go to the website, and you are presented with a word game. Choose the correct meaning of a word from 4 choices, and will donate 20 grains of rice for each correct answer through the UN World Food Program to help end hunger. The donations are made possible by the sponsors who advertise on the freerice website and “All money (100%) raised by the site goes to the UN World Food Program to help feed the hungry.“The website started in October of 2007 and has since donated almost 51 billion grains of rice.

From the website: “According to the United Nations, about 25,000 people die each day from hunger or hunger-related causes, most of them children.”

If standard English vocabulary gets boring, you can choose other subjects: There is math, science, geography, art history, other languages and more. As you play, will automatically determine your skill level in each subject and adjust the questions to either be easier or more difficult. Get more wrong answers and the game gets easier. Get more correct and the questions get harder.

The site will even store how many grains you have donated as you play so you will always know your current total.

This is a fantasic site for you to help others and learn at the same time.  Go play and then tell someone else about the site.

This is a good thing your doing here and I’m all for helping anybody from being hungry. I personally know what it’s like to go to bed hungry and wake up the same way and then do it all over again. I’d like to know, do you help American Indians on Reservations with some of this rice? There’s a lot more people going hungry there than most people seem to care about. In the winter months its oil or food for them, and that’s just not right. Help them to PLEASE!!

Thank You
