    Hi there,

LD from Malaysia. Bought a combo microwave that allows me to bake and grill and have so far cooked up a little something for the wife and 2 boys. Was surfing for creme brulee recipe and chance upon your site.

I find cooking relaxing and satisfying. Relaxing because I don't think of anything else when I cook (believe me, I have a lot of things on my mind) and satisfying because of the immediate results...(burps and tummy rubs of my test subjects).

Look forward to using this site, which is different because of the step by step visual guide....definately a big plus for us dabblers.

Hello Nata from Georgia. If you don't have any step by step pictures of your recipe but still want to share it, you can share it here on the forum. Just click on the "Start a New Discussion" blue colored button on the top left, select the category "Share Recipes (Text Based) Here", type in the title of your recipe in the "discussion topic" box, then enter your recipe in the large comment box and click "Start your discussion". Then your text only recipe will be shared here on the forums. Let me know if you have any questions. :)

Although you just have text only recipes now, we all hope to see some of your Georgian recipes with pictures in the future.

    Hello,
I'm Debby and I live in Monterey, CA. I have a grown son, and I love to cook, collect and post recipes. I'm really happy that I found this website, because I'm a very visual person. I already made one recipe from here, tonight, which was outstanding.
I was raised by a German mom, so a lot of my cooking comes from Bavaria. I'm an intermediate level cook, and I am always wanting to try new recipes and cuisines from all parts of the world.
I grow my own herbs, try to eat organic foods, but I also have a hopeless sweet tooth.
I look forward to discovering new recipes, and sharing some of mine.

    Blessings.

    Hi,
My name is Jinny and I have a question: it seems that my yeast doughs always take twice (if not three times) as long to rise. Why is that?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Jinny,

Your yeast may be old, or you may not be creating a warm enough environment for the yeast to work.

    Greetings to all!

I'm Ted and newly signed up with user name Teddycapz. I'm from the National Capital Region of the Philippines, blissfully married with two sons, a chef by profession (heartfelt passion really) and a broadcast journalist by education (parental coercion actually) so I guess that makes me quite qualified enough to teach anything that has to do with the culinary arts, go figure. :)

I stumbled upon this site when I googled "Lumpiang Sariwa" which is a Philippine take on fresh egg rolls with veggie filling. I am really impressed and glad to know that you actually feature our native dishes here - awesome! That was the clincher for me to sign up and hereby introduce myself.

I've got dozens of personal recipes to share, many of them certified prize-winners in major cooking tilts hereabouts as well as oft-requested entrees in my catering cum food consultancy business. But my main objective in joining this site is to learn as much as I can from fellow foodies - I guess one can get as close to perfection as possible largely by humbly learning from others. Hope I can achieve that goal with obliging help from you guys. God bless!

Wow- this is a great site.
Im a 29yof Paramedic/Mom/Teacher/Hunter blah blah blah. So all this means I have several cooking styles. On the nights that I teach, I do crock pot or oven meals. When im off work I have a little more time to play in the kitchen. So far I have been very impressed by kiteless and GodsMullet. I cook more towards comfort foods, Spanish and good ol' southern style. If its BBQ- its Charcoal only. My mother was a baker so I know how to handle my sweets and breads. I am still looking for a good recipe for a Spinach and Bacon Quiche. My kitchen sometimes has to be mobile since I work a 24hr shift and have the ability to cook at work. My co-workers love to sample all the goodies. It is that time of year to make my Biscochitos. Im sure I will get to know some of you and exchange recipe's and tips. K

Hi, I'm a mature (meaning 73) year old with three grown children. I've cooked and baked all my life, probably because my father was a top chef in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My problem is that I still deal in old style measurements. I'm trying to decide how much 0.5 cups is. The cookie is entitled Nutella Peanut Butter Cookes which has measurements in weight, rather than volume, but I'm still in left field. If anyone out there has tried this recipe and has managed to change it into standard measurements, I'd love to hear from you. Thanksalot.

Hello, all! I enjoy cooking and love searching out recipes on-line. This site looks like a good one. I'll jump right in and say, I recently went to a wine tasting and LOVED the chocolate wine sauce. I want to make it at home. Any recipes out there?

The other thing I want is a recipe that will use the 3 cups of Bisquick I have on hand here. Want to use it and not throw it away because it is wasteful, but also don't want to use it 1/2 cup at a time!

    Thanks!

Hi, I'm Bridge from Alberta, Canada. I LOVE food, but can't cook very well so in an effort to stop my eating-out addiction and gain more control over what I'm putting into my body I'm going to learn to cook. To motivate myself I'm getting all my family members to send me their best recipes and I'm going to put together a family cookbook for Christmas. I don't want the section with my contributions to be embarassingly small so I'm going to be trying out a lot of new recipes, and I'll share the good ones with you folks!

Hello everybody! I'm Irina and I'm from Russia. I love cooking and I think I'm quite a good cook (at least, my husband and my friends say so :-)), but I usually cook traditional Russian food, that’s good but I want more and I hope to learn some interesting recieps from you here. And of course, I'm ready to share Russian cuisine recieps if anybody's interested in them :-)
