Step 1:

First, start off by browning the ground beef.

Step 2:

While the beef is browning, you'll have plenty of time to whip up the next few ingredients. Combine the cream cheese, cottage cheese, chili powder, and 1/4 cup Ortega taco sauce in a bowl.

Step 4:

Now, in a glass pan (we just used a pie pan because it was handy) spread the cream cheese mixture smoothly across the bottom of the pan. This will be microwaved later so DO NOT USE A METAL PAN!

Set this aside.

Step 5:

By now the beef should be fully browned and ready to drain.

Step 8:

After a few minutes the sauce will thicken up a bit. Once it does, layer it over the top of the cream cheese mixture like so:

Step 9:

Now, top it off with a (un)healthy layer of cheese...

Step 10:

...and stick it in the microwave until the cheese has melted. (~4 min)

Step 11:

Grab your chips and enjoy. You can top this with your choice of stuff too. Onions, green onions, jalepenos, lettuce, etc.
