  • 1/2 cup Butter Flavored Crisco (you may try regular butter, softened, but I find at high altitudes that butter makes cookies very flat & greasy)
  • 3 tsp. water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips or half a bag.
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries or half a bag of craisins (this will be slightly less than 3/4 cup)

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. In a large bowl or your mixer, cream together the butter, water, brown sugar & white sugar until smooth.

Step 2

Step 3

Beat in the egg.

Step 4

And add in the Vanilla.

Step 5

Combine the flour and baking soda.

Step 6

And stir into the sugar mixture.

Step 7

Mix in the white chocolate chips & cranberries.

Step 8

Step 9

Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto baking sheet, or if you have a handy dandy cookie scoop, use that.

Step 10

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. For BEST results take them out while they are still doughy. Allow cookies to cool for 1 minute before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Step 11

This will make approx 2 dozen very RICH cookies. You can easily double this recipe- as I find it easier to just use a whole bag of craisins & white chocolate chips; however make sure you have a party to take these too. They aren't named Indulgences for nothing!! mmm, mmm, good.

Made this for a Christmas party I was going to. Was worried they might be a little “fancy” for a bunch of college-aged people, but they loved them. it was a success! used craisins & ghiradelli white chocolate chips. Very nice.
