Easy Mac and Cheese

  • 2 TB Butter
  • 2 TB Flour
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic diced
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • pasta (medium shells or elbows)

Step 1

Grate cheese.


Step 2

Prepare pasta according to box directions (8 minutes for medium shells by Barilla).


Step 3

While pasta is cooking, saute onions and garlic. Add flour to onions, stir until well combined about 2 minutes.


Step 4

Add cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper to onions, bring to a boil. Add cheese, combine.


Step 5

Drain pasta, add to cheese mixture.


Step 6

Enjoy your Mac and Cheese.
