I’m a stay at home mom. That always cracks me up: “stay at home mom.” As if I don’t have loads of laundry to do, three kids to entertain, not to mention educate, meals to prepare, and I can just kick my feet up all day and eat bon bons.

Well, after making this Oreo Truffle / Oreo Balls / Bon-Bon recipe, I might just have to take some time to kick back and relax!

Here’s how to make your own Oreo truffles:

  • Prep: ~30 mins.
  • Cook: ~30 mins.
  • Serves: 10

  • 1 lb. Oreos sandwich cookies
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 squares Baker’s Chocolate
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Step 1

Put your Oreo cookies in a blender.

Step 2

...and blend it until it resembles sand.

Step 3

Pour the "pulverized" Oreo cookies into mixing bowl and add cream cheese.

Step 4

Mix those pulverized Oreo cookies and cream cheese together until it resembles mud.

Step 5

Chill the Oreo cookie and cream cheese batter in the fridge for about 30 minutes (or until a little firm) and then roll into small balls.

Step 6

Melt the chocolate in a microwave or Ban-Marie until completely melted.

Step 7

Dip the Oreo balls into chocolate. I used a toddler spoon to help the process.

Step 8

Transfer the Oreo truffles onto waxed paper and decorate with sprinkles, sugar, chopped nuts, or contrasting chocolate - the possibilities are really endless!

Step 9

Store these in the fridge if you don’t devour them right away.
