About this Potato Curry with Curd Recipe
Potato curry with curd is a very simple recipe. The dish can be served with steamed rice or bread (especially Indian breads).
Potato Curry with Curd Ingredients
- 2 cups potatoes boiled, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup curd beaten
- 1/2 tsp bengal gram flour
- 1/4 tsp mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1 clove
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp asafoetida
- 1 tsp red chilli powder you can use less if you dont want it to get spicy
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tbsp ghee or you can use butter
- 1 cheese cube (grated) for garnishing. This is optional and depends upon your taste.

Heat ghee (butter) in a frying pan and add mustard seeds. Heat until the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 3
Add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, bay leaf, clove, cinnamon and asafoetida to the pan and stir well.
Step 4
Add curd and four mix to the frying pan with chilli powder and turmeric powder. Heat until it comes to a boil.

Add the potatoes, salt and 1/2 cup water to the frying pan and heat it until it boils. If you want a thick gravy you can boil it longer.
